Once again, here is a look at the good and the bad from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ most recent game. This time it was against the Rams in St. Louis.

This is a fairly easy post on the face of it: the Steelers won, Ben Roethlisberger injured his knee. The good and bad is summed up right there. It’s always good to stack wins early in the season, especially when you’re playing a talented defense in their home stadium. The Steelers did just that when they got their second win of the season against the Rams.

However, Steelers fans still found themselves sulking on Sunday after watching the face of their franchise go down partway through the third quarter. Seeing your Super Bowl winning quarterback wincing on the field and grasping his knee after a low hit is not something any NFL fan wants to see.

Nothing official has been released as far as a timeline goes, but Roethlisberger’s ACL is intact, and that can only be a good thing. If the injury is a sprained MCL, speculation is that Ben will be out a month and a half.

Michael Vick came in, avoided disaster, and led the Steelers to a win. He’ll need to get a good week of practice in on short notice as the Steelers gear up to host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
