The Steelers are back in action and you’re going to be looking for some game day grub to satisfy your football hunger that’s lasted over the bye week.

The Steelers are on a quest for a playoff spot and you’re going to be on a quest for something quick and tasty to enjoy while Ben Roethlisberger and company take the field in Seattle. The Steelers take on the Seahawks in a rematch of Super Bowl XL in a battle that’s sure to be entertaining featuring the matchup between Steelers receiver Antonio Brown and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

We’ve just made it through the biggest eating holiday of the year so we’re looking to make it simple for your Sunday football fare. With the Steelers playing in Seattle there are no football snacks that come to mind featuring coffee or Skittles and the last thing you’re going to want is more turkey.

You could order out but now you have to save all your money for Christmas presents so let’s take a look at what you’ve got and find your game day grub within your own fridge. Everyone has extra cans of biscuits either leftover from Thanksgiving or just waiting to be used.

Once I found a sale of the canned biscuits for like eight cans for a few dollars and decided it was worth it. Four biscuit-themed meals later I was still searching for what to do with all of these damned biscuits.

Here’s a great idea of what you can do with your biscuits. Take them out of the can and roll them out to about a quarter of an inch in thickness. You don’t even need a rolling pin; you can just flatten them with your hands. Every self-respecting yinzer has some lunchmeat in their fridge and it’s usually chipped ham.

Take the ham and chop it into pieces and warm it up in a pan. You don’t need to add oil or anything, just warm it through and get a little color on the ham. It brings out the hamminess. Place a good amount of ham and your favorite cheese in the center of the flattened biscuit. Fold one side over like a calzone and pinch it closed.

Brush with an egg wash of a beaten egg and some water and cut some slits in the top of the pocket to let steam out. You can even top them with some more shredded cheese at this point. Pop them in a 350 degree preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
