Still Curtain’s Super Bowl 50 prop bets and game picks.

Superbowl Sunday is tomorrow so here are some of the props and the pick on the big game.

Carolina Panther (-5.5) vs. Denver Broncos

The line on the game opened with Carolina favored by 4 and since has moved to 5.5. With the way Carolina handled the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC championship game it obvious the sharps are siding with them.

The game is difficult to pick and if you think that Denver will win the game then you are best to take them on the money line which is +185 for the straight up win. Looking back at the Seattle game in which Carolina was up 31-0 at halftime, the Seahawks were able to make adjustments holding the Panthers scoreless in the second half and keeping the game within a touchdown in the end.

Denver has the best defense in the NFL and if they can keep Cam Newton in the pocket minimizing his scrambling ability then they have a shot at the win. Peyton Manning played pretty well in his two playoff games but wasn’t great so will the extra week off help or hinder his performance. I have a feeling Carolina wins the game. Pick: Denver.

Now here are some prop bet picks as everyone loves at their Super Bowl parties.

Coin Toss: Tails -105 it is usually tails when one flips a coin.

Will there be a special teams or defensive score YES +140 Its likely with these two defenses that we see a pick six or a fumble that leads to a score. Also both teams have pretty good return games so it is a strong possibility for either.

Cam Newton to score a touchdown anytime -110 In most Carolina games Cam runs into the end zone and in a goal line situation he is the ball carrier 9 times out of 10 so this is a good call.

Ted Ginn Jr. total receiving yards UNDER 48.5 Ginn is a player with relatively poor hands who usually makes his mark with long bombs down the field, despite his speed I don’t believe the Broncos defense lets him get behind their secondary to make that happen.

Peyton Manning total rushing yards OVER 1.5 This is just funny. He managed an 11 yard run against the Patriots so one can hope he scrambles for 2 when the heat is on.
