Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the offseason starts to heat up we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Sunday, Apr. 10th.

It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday

One year ago Steelers legendary safety Troy Polamalu hung up his cleats for good. Teresa Varley reflects on the sentiments from Polamalu’s teammates and the rest of the NFL community from the day he retired.

Polamalu played with a one-of-a-kind style and reckless abandon we surely won’t see again any time soon. In his twelve seasons with the Steelers he won two Super Bowls and played in a third and was the author of more spectacular plays than could ever fit on one highlight reel.

Sticking in AFC North

The former No. 3 overall draft pick running back Trent Richardson is going to get another shot in the AFC North. According to Kevin Patra of Around the NFL the former Browns, Colts and Raiders running back is expecting to be signed by the Baltimore Ravens prior to the start of offseason workouts.

Richardson sat out the 2015 season after being cut by the Raiders and already had fizzled out with the Colts after being traded by the Browns. Richardson will join a Ravens backfield that includes Justin Forsett, Buck Allen, Lorenzo Taliaferro and Terrance West. He’s definitely no lock to make the 53-man roster.

Doing a great job there, Marvin

There’s not a team in the NFL that rewards mediocrity quite like the Cincinnati Bengals. Marc Sessler of Around the NFL reports that the Bengals and head coach Marvin Lewis have agreed to a one-year extension, keeping the non-playoff winning coach yet another season in Cincinnati.

Next: Steelers defensive meetings

Lewis is the NFL’s second-longest-tenured coach but has yet to win a playoff game his entire career as head coach for the Bengals. So another year, another season without a playoff win and another extension for Marvin Lewis. What’s that saying about insanity again? Never change, Bengals.
