Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the offseason starts to heat up we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Thursday, April 14th.

It practically pays for itself

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler explains that the Pittsburgh Steelers lead the league in the amount of money that they have invested in their offensive line. The Steelers will pay $28.47 million in 2016 to the men who protect Ben Roethlisberger.

Fowler suggests that the money is well spent, citing the fact that Roethlisberger had career low sack totals in 2015 and a resurgence of the running game featuring Le’Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams. The Steelers invested high draft picks in this line like Maurkice Pouncey and David DeCastro.

Hopefully, they can employ a similar strategy to rebuild the secondary, starting with the second-round investment last year in Senquez Golson.

Congratulations

Steelers Hall of Fame wide receiver Lynn Swann was named the new Athletic Director for the University of Southern California.
