While the team game plans for Washington and practices all week we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, Sept. 7th.

No “I” in “Team”

With the first Tuesday of the regular season came the first edition of this year’s Ben Roethlisberger show on 93.7 The Fan. Roethlisberger talked about a number of topics including the suspended guys, the injured guys and his outlook for the season.

More from Steelers News

Roethlisberger explained that he doesn’t care about winning any individual awards this season, or any other season for that matter, if it doesn’t also come with a seventh Lombardi trophy for Pittsburgh.

"“I’m not an individual accomplishment type guy. I want to win championships and if I’m not even in the consideration for MVP but win a World Championship, I’ll take that all day over being an MVP and not winning.” – Ben Roethlisberger"

First day of school

You can’t escape the pictures of the first day of school. They’re everywhere. Now they’re even on the Steelers. Running back DeAngelo Williams displayed his “first day of school” photo on Tuesday.

He’d like to be a fantasy football star when he grows up.

There’s no secret

Head coach Mike Tomlin gave his first game-week presser on Tuesday and he was asked what Antonio Brown’s secret to success is. According to Tomlin there is no secret, as described by Teresa Varley.

"“He is extremely talented. The secret is there is no secret. He is extremely talented and he has a work ethic to match. Together it is lethal.” – Mike Tomlin"

Lethal indeed. Here’s hoping nothing and no one gets in his way this season and we can all just sit back and enjoy the show.
