While the team recovers from the latest win and gets ready to head to Miami to face the Dolphins we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Friday, Oct. 14th.

Brother vs. Brother

Maurkice Pouncey talked to reporters after practice about what it will be like to go up against his twin brother, Mike, this Sunday when Pittsburgh faces off against the Dolphins. Pouncey explained that the twin relationship is a close one and competitive but he wasn’t giving his brother any tips to help him out.

More from Steelers News

He answered questions on how competitive things are between Mike and him and he said that they’ve been competing their whole life and that Mike always reminds him that he was drafted earlier than Maurkice was. They played together at the University of Florida.

I have an identical twin sister so I can completely relate to Maurkice, except for the minor detail of not being NFL centers and all. Other than that we’re practically the same.

Who’s in?

The wide receiver shuffle is in effect this week with Eli Rogers coming back from missing the last two games with turf toe but Markus Wheaton and Sammie Coates missing two days of practice this week. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reminds us that when Tomlin says practice participation counts, he means it.

That leaves only Friday Wheaton and Coates to make it out on the practice field for a shot at the game on Sunday in Miami. There’s not too much cause for concern, though. There’s still Antonio Brown and the always reliable “DHB” Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Heeeeeeaaaaaaath!

In case you thought it wasn’t noticeable Jesse James can totally hear it when the crowd screams out “Heeeeeaaaaath!” after he makes a catch. Ray Fittipaldo of the PPG says that he doesn’t mind it, though.

"“I think it’s pretty cool. Whenever a tight end catches the ball the Heath chant keeps going.” – Jesse James"

James doesn’t mind being compared to now retied tight end Heath Miller, because he heard the chant last year enough. Even though Miller isn’t out there any more James is cool with letting the chant live on.
