The Steelers get a Thanksgiving AFC showdown with the Indianapolis Colts.

If you feel like the holiday season really crept up on you this year you don’t even know the half of it. The team has a short week from Sunday’s win over Cleveland to spend Thanksgiving in Indy. This is just the first of the holiday games Pittsburgh will play this year.

Pittsburgh’s defense will likely be thankful for not having to face Andrew Luck in this game as he’s sidelined with a concussion. They put up eight sacks last week against Cleveland and the Colts are the only other team to allow more sacks this year than the Browns.

More from Still Curtain

James Harrison became Pittsburgh’s all-time sack leader with 77.5 but can he increase his record against Scott Tolzien? This surely wasn’t the prime-time holiday matchup the schedule makers were hoping for.

Ben Roethlisberger has made it a habit of scoring a lot of touchdowns on the Colts in recent years. In his last two games against the Colts Roethlisberger has thrown for almost 900 yards with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions.

In a 2014 game against Indy at Heinz Field Roethlisberger threw for 522 yards and six touchdowns in a 51-34 victory. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh hasn’t been so successful in recent years playing on Thursday night. Hopefully Roethlisberger and the offense can reverse that.

Prepare yourself for endless replays of Mike Tomlin’s stanky-leg step on the field during the Thanksgiving night game against Baltimore in 2013 as well as replays of Jerome Bettis clearly calling tails in the 1998 overtime loss to Detroit.

While you’re slicing up that second piece of pie here’s where you can find your Thanksgiving feast:
