The cover for Madden 19 has been released, and on it, Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver, Antonio Brown.

EA Sports has released the cover for Madden 19, and it features Antonio Brown. The all-pro wide receiver is coming off a MVP candidate year, and has been rumored to be on the cover for a few weeks.

Today, after a picture of the cover was leaked last night, EA Sports released the official ad for the game.

The game is set to be released August 10, worldwide. Brown was named to the Madden 99 club earlier this summer, and now finished his offseason as the highlight to the 2018 NFL video game season.

"“I am beyond honored to be on the cover of both Madden games,” Brown told EA Sports. “There’s a lot of milestones athletes dream of, and after being inducted into the Madden 99 Club earlier this year, and now appearing on the cover of this year’s games, it’s clear that business is not just booming, but I’m also among the all-time greatest with these honors.”"

Worried about the Madden curse?

The last Steeler to appear on the cover of Madden was future Hall of Famer, Troy Polamalu, when he shared the cover with Arizona Cardinals’ wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald.

During the 2009-2010 season, the year Polamalu was on the cover, the safety sprained his MCL in Week 1 and miss four games. Then, after returning for three games, he injured his PCL and missed the rest of the season. The Steelers finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

But there is hope. Despite the terrible history between the players and the Madden curse, Tom Brady may have broken it. No one wants to hear that, I know, but after appearing on the cover of Madden 18, Brady didn’t suffer an injury and led his team to the Super Bowl.

No one wants to hear about the success of the Patriots or Brady, but if it leaves any hope that the curse isn’t real, we want to know about it. Brown just turned 30-years-old and had arguably the best season of his career last year, despite missing almost three whole games.

Next: Bell, the Steelers, and failed negotiations

As Steelers fans, stay optimistic. Brown isn’t slowing down, and if anyone is able to beat the curse, it’s him. He’ll dance his way to the top, once again, and likely won’t miss a beat, all while providing a great video game cover to all the fans.
