Who will emerge as the third safety?
Kameron Kelly got some burn with the first-team offense and that is a sign that the Steelers are seriously considering keeping Kameron Kelly. He had good coverage on the opening third down for the defense.
I also saw Jordan Dangerfield play well. He is just a physical player who puts his body on the line to win. I honestly think it would be a travesty if he were cut from the team again. He can play that all-important upback role on the punt team. He may not be Robert Golden at the job, but he more than makes up for it in his defense.
At this point, I will guess that the two backup safeties kept will be Kameron Kelly and Jordan Dangerfield. Of course, Sean Davis and Terrell Edmunds will start. There are still two games left and so that fourth game will be key to watching this preseason battle come to a conclusion.
