Devin Bush

The defense obviously did not play well when you give up 33 points. You can’t give up that on the road (or ever) if you want to win. They seemed out of place, confused and honestly like a bad unit tonight. I was eagerly anticipating to see all the new additions play and the Patriots just took advantage of their inexperience playing together and exploited this unit time and again.

This is an example of a long pass for a TD that 2 players were beat deep on. I don’t understand what they were doing or what happened? It looks like Kameron Kelly and Terrell Edmunds were the deep safeties and let Dorsett run past them? Their number one responsibility is to keep the receivers in front of them?

Devin Bush was drafted to be that playmaker in the middle and he looked like a rookie. I noticed he needed to be told where to go at times and was out of position. I really didn’t see him make any splash plays or any plays for that matter. The one positive is that he did lead the team in tackles.

He was another player I couldn’t wait to see. He really did not show up tonight but it was a total team effort. It is only the first game of the season but every player needs to take a good look in the mirror. Is this who the Steelers are going to be? They looked like a .500 team tonight that does NOT belong with the top teams in the NFL.

Next. The good, the bad and the ugly from the Steelers loss against the Patriots. dark

If they play like this the rest of the way they are not winning their division or making the playoffs. I for one was expecting a much more competitive game and am very disappointed at this outcome.
