Case Keenum

Washington Redskins

Case Keenum has been around long enough to have his moments in the spotlight. He started his career off with the Houston Texans in 2012. Keenum later went on to play for the Rams, Vikings, Broncos, and Redskins.

Keenum’s best year came recently in 2017, where he lead the Vikings to an astonishing 11-3 record under his watch. Case Keenum threw for 22 touchdowns and 7 interceptions that year and helped lead his team to a miraculous playoff run.

Despite their 0-2 record to start the season, Keenum hasn’t played badly for the Redskins so far. However, Washington may be looking to get 1st round pick, Dwayne Haskins on the field sooner rather than later.

If this is the case, Keenum would be a perfect fit in Pittsburgh as a backup to Mason Rudolph. The 8-year veteran has loads of experience with several organizations, and has shown that he is not afraid to sling the ball.

Case Keenum has an extremely reasonable cap number this year at $3.5 million. The Steelers would just have to move a few pennies around to make it work. Pittsburgh should make the call to Wahington to see if there is interest on their part.
