A fumble that resulted in the only points scored by the Bengals and an inefficient third-down conversion rate

I know I am being ‘nit-picky’ here, but the lone score by the Bengals, a 28-yard field goal, came courtesy of a fumble by Diontae Johnson. He did, however, redeem himself by catching a TD pass and being a perfect 6 for 6 in balls thrown his way.  A shut out probably would have been the result for as well as the defensive performed.

Another ugly aspect of the game was the 33% third-down efficiency that the offense was able to muster.  Through the first four games of the season, the Steelers are ranked 30th in third-down conversions.  Put another way, the Steelers are converting third-downs at a clip of 27%.  Are you kidding me?  That is ugly, my fellow Steelers fans.

Much like the state of the running game, we must do a better job converting third-downs because a 27% conversion rate will have you sitting home watching the playoffs on TV and that is not where the Steelers want to be sitting.  We want to be the watchees, not the watchers.

Look, I’m ecstatic the Steelers won; I’m ecstatic the Steelers won in the manner in which we won, but there exist some holes in our game right now. With the Ravens on deck, the Steelers need to seal those holes permanently.
