How will the roster look this week?

The Steelers did, in fact, play make two roster moves and those were the only two moves. Fred Johnson and Jayrone Elliott were cut to make room for Paxton Lynch and Trey Edmunds.

Paxton Lynch was called up to the roster to be the backup in this game to Devlin Hodges. This was due to Mason Rudolph’s concussion.

Trey Edmunds was added for two reasons. The first reason was to give the Steelers plenty of depth at running back. The Steelers could roll with two running backs for a game or two but with Jaylen Samuels out for a month, it became necessary to add Edmunds to the roster. Edmunds was also added for his special team’s ability.

How will the Steelers do with all their injuries?

The Steelers were able to hold on and win a close game against the Chargers. The reason for the win was their fast start. They went up 21-0 in the first half.

It didn’t look pretty in the fourth quarter as the Chargers made it a game, but they did make plays when they had to. Cameron Sutton played well in the dime package and sealed the game with an interception.

Overall, oddsmakers were not favoring the Steelers but it was good they were able to win on the road. I think this win should give them some encouragement heading into the bye. The Steelers could very well become 3-4 after playing the lowly Dolphins after the bye. This win could help them while they get healthy.
