Dez Bryant: A big-bodied, expensive solution

Two weeks ago, former All-Pro Dez Bryant announced he might be ready to sign with a new team in the next three weeks. Videos of his recent workouts clearly show he’s regained his speed and explosiveness after sustaining a season-ending Achilles tear in 2018.

Would a healthy Dez Bryant who’s hungry to play and driven to succeed be a WR upgrade over anyone currently on the Steelers not named Juju Schuster-Smith?

Right. Dumb question.

Can the Steelers afford him?

With a salary cap of barely over $3M, of course not!

Dez Bryant will demand and get a lot more than $3M a year from whoever signs him. The bottom line is whether the Steelers would want him enough to restructure the contracts needed to clear the required cap space and whether Bryant is worth the effort.

I suspect he is. Will the Steelers agree?

Next. What the Steelers must do to defeat the Dolphins. dark

All of these options are contingent upon whether or not the Steelers decide to part ways with Donte Moncrief. If they decide to let him go, these could be some viable options to help the Steelers out in 2019 and possibly beyond.
