Rookie of the Year: Devin Bush

With just a few rookies making an impact this season, there wasn’t a lot of competition for this award. However, even if there would have been, Devin Bush still would have come away with it.

Bush isn’t anywhere near a finished product yet. He has had his share of coverage lapses and has given up a few touchdowns this season to tight ends. Still, it’s not hard to see that all of the tools are there.

Like Minkah Fitzpatrick, Devin Bush also excels at making big plays. Through the first eight games of the season, Bush has managed to take the ball away from the offense 6 times (2 interceptions and 4 fumble recoveries). The rookie linebacker also has 66 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, a sack, and a defensive touchdown to his name.

Bush is considered a top-three candidate for the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year award this season, and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon. The former 10th overall pick has tremendous athleticism and only stands to get better moving forward.
