Opposing offenses playing from behind

It goes without saying, but anytime you have the lead in football, that obviously gives you an advantage. It’s even better when you have a great defense chomping at the bit to get after the quarterback.

There’s no question that the Steelers will be leading in more games this season with what stands to be a much-improved offense. Because of this, opposing teams will be forced to play catch-up. There will be more opponents that will abandon the run and attempt to move the ball through the air in the second half of games.

When this happens, you better believe Pittsburgh’s defense will be ready to feed. Playing from behind can work against average NFL defenses, but that won’t be the Steelers in 2020.
