James Harrison
New England Patriots
James Harrison has the record for most sacks in Steelers franchise history and he won two Super Bowls with Pittsburgh. It was always hard to imagine him wearing anything else until he signed with the Bengals before coming back to Pittsburgh. During his short stint wearing the black and orange stripes, he only totaled two sacks over ten starts. Harrison struggled a lot with the Bengals, but after his release, he would return back to Pittsburgh. After many more successful seasons and a brief retirement, Harrison began to fall out of touch with the Steelers during his last season with the team.
He asked for a release after he was reported to be asleep during team meetings and had a bad attitude. The Steelers granted him his wishes and to try and prove the Steelers wrong, Harrison turned his coat-tails to the evil empire, New England Patriots.
Harrison would go to the Patriots and play at a high level throughout their deep playoff run. He would lose against the Eagles in the Super Bowl that season and ultimately did not show the Steelers exactly what he had hoped for, which was him sitting on top of the world looking down at Pittsburgh.
The Steelers have had many great players come to Pittsburgh to entertain fans, but football is a business and not all players finish their careers at the three rivers crossroads.
