The Steelers and Broncos would both start the game punting. On Denver’s second possession Blitzburgh makes a play.

Bud Dupree had an astounding performance in week 1 against the Giants. He played like the best player out there using an awesome motor and a matchup with rookie left tackle, Andrew Thomas, to keep himself in Daniel Jones’, and Saquon Barkley’s faces all game. In week 2 he was a force yet again.

Denver’s first drive would end in a punt. But Drew Lock showed his mobility avoiding two sacks on the same play, before having to throw it away due to excellent coverage on part of the Steelers secondary. Aside from that one play, he didn’t look like he was very close to getting sacked often on the opening drive.

Drew Lock had been getting the ball out quickly while trying to avoid pressure the entire first drive. On Denver’s second drive they were more committed to the run. Then on a 3rd down Drew Lock enters the shotgun.

Drew Lock avoided a sack from TJ Watt. In the process, he stumbles to his right and Bud Dupree crashes down on him hard. He records his first sack of the season, and in the process strips the ball from Drew Lock. Mike Hilton makes a heads up play scooping the ball and returning it. Giving Pittsburgh the ball back and with good field position.

Unfortunately, Drew Lock injured his throwing shoulder in this play. He wouldn’t play for a couple of drives and then it would be announced that he would not be returning to the game. Jeff Driskel would come in to finish the game and would show some, albeit, limited success against the Steelers defense.
