Steven Nelson caught his first interception of the season at a terrific time.

After the Pittsburgh Steelers came out and scored on the first drive of the second half, the Steelers defense would come out and continue the momentum. The Steelers had created a lot of turnovers in 2019 and we haven’t seen them really come even a little close to that level of production in 2020. However, they have continued to remain patient and it is starting to pay off.

The Steelers were riding high before this play. But this was a huge play. They generated their first turnover of this game, to set up their offense with terrific field position. I had talked about Wentz having problems throwing interceptions at an alarming rate going into this game and I was honestly surprised it took the Steelers as long as it did to generate this first turnover.

Not only did the Steelers get the football back so quickly, but they were also able to capitalize on it. This play set up the Steelers first chance to really lengthen the league against the Eagles. They started the second half with a mere 3 point lead at 17-14. After the score, a quick turnover, and the touchdown run that was set up by the quick turnover, they jumped up to a 31-14 lead just halfway through the 3rd quarter. The Eagles would strike back with a score but it would still be a two-possession game halfway through the 3rd quarter.
