Linebackers: B

Nobody is talking about the Steelers linebackers after their performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 (as much of that attention is rightfully devoted to Chase Claypool). However, this group had a very solid game on Sunday.

Vince Williams was his usual self going downhill, as he crushed Miles Sanders in the backfield on the first drive of the game and nearly sacked Carson Wentz later on. However, this group was most impressive in coverage.

Devin Bush helped hold 3-time Pro Bowl tight end, Zach Ertz, to just 1 reception for 6 yards (something that nobody is really talking about). In addition, Philadelphia’s running backs combined for just 19 yards through the air.

Though these guys could have been partially at fault after Sanders’ massive run at the end of the first quarter, they did a great job of swallowing up the run for the remainder of the game, and Sanders earned just 6 yards on his other 10 carries for the rest of the contest. This group didn’t get any recognition on Sunday, but they did a solid job with their assignments.
