Winner: Chase Claypool

Returning to the winner’s circle is Chase Claypool, who resumed his role as the top threat in the Steelers passing offense. While he didn’t score four times like last week, he did find the endzone on another jet sweep near the goal line. As well, he logged four receptions for 74 yards, maintaining a strong yards per catch as he remains a weapon all over the field.

Moving forward, it will be hard to keep Claypool off the field. A huge benefit for him is his run blocking, as he lined up close to the line and provided solid run blocking for Conner. Considering his size and blocking ability, he could leapfrog the depth chart and begin seeing the majority of snaps at receiver. He has been that good, and he needs to be given the opportunity to build off of his early success.

Moving forward, expect Claypool to settle in as a regular on the offense. He has earned every snap he plays in moving forward, as he has far and away been the best receiver on the Steelers this year. Even as a runner, Claypool has displayed some power near the goal line and can continue to serve in that role. He has the chance to be special in this offense, and he certainly should be utilized heavily going forward.

The Steelers were dominant in their win, and thus the winners were aplenty this week. While the losers had tough games, a lot of that can be attributed to the passing game that wasn’t heavily needed this week. It was a great game for the Steelers, and it shows the NFL that this is a team to be reckoned with.
