Chase Claypool continuing to be dynamic

Chase Claypool continued to be dynamic again for the Steelers. I think he is now the Steelers #1 receiver. They can use him on the run, on the screen, and for the deep ball. He also is a big target for Big Ben. Chase Claypool is exceeding everybody’s expectations.

Claypool was the Steelers leading receiver today receiving  74 yards per ESPN. Even better Claypool caught all four of his targets and rushed for a touchdown. At this point, Claypool is the Steeler’s number 1 playmaker.

The great news is that Claypool is a rookie and they will have him under contract for three years after 2020. That is awesome for the future of Mike Tomlin’s offense. What makes it better was that JuJu Smith-Schuster didn’t have a particularly good day and Diontae Johnson was out.

I wrote about how I didn’t think Claypool would be that good. I couldn’t be more wrong. I need to trust the Steeler’s coach’s ability to coach good athletes with good character. Chase Claypool didn’t have great tape at Notre Dame and that’s why I am surprised.
