1. DB Cameron Sutton

If I have one realistic wish this offseason, it’s that the Steelers find a way to get a contract extension done with defensive back, Cameron Sutton. Sutton has gotten better in each year for the Steelers, and might just be their best cover corner on the team.

Though Sutton doesn’t play a full-time role for Pittsburgh, his value to this defense cannot be underrated. He’s a huge reason for the Steelers success in dime packages, and recently, in nickel with Mike Hilton nursing an injury. Additionally, Sutton is no stranger to creating splash plays, as he earned a leaping interception against the Browns earlier this season, and has recorded forced fumbles in three consecutive games – the longest active streak in the NFL.

Just over halfway through the season, Cameron Sutton has graded out as a top-ten NFL cornerback, according to Pro Football Focus, and the defense is just better when he is on the field. Now that Stephon Tuitt is starting to solidify his name among the best interior defensive linemen in the league, Sutton takes the top spot for the most underrated player on this team.

The Steelers have other players who deserve recognition as well, and many players who are more important to the team’s success than the four mentioned on this list. However, these guys continue to impress even when the spotlight isn’t on them.
