Chase Claypool Goes up and comes down with the most imperative score of the game

Situation: 2nd & 7 from Jacksonville’s 31 yard-line, score tied 3-3, with 7:00 minutes remaining in the second quarter.

This touchdown by Chase Claypool opened things up for the Steelers and gave them life. Their first few drives weren’t very productive and produced a lot of dink and dunks. The Steelers love to there under routes and quick slants to keep the other teams offense off the field. Sometimes they like to switch it up and look to find Johnson, Claypool, or Washington downfield and that’s exactly what happened on this play.

Claypool had one on one coverage and the Steelers love to look at Claypool when he has a one on one situation. Ben looked to his right, saw Claypool had a step on Chris Claybrooks and found Claypool toward the sideline for a 31-yard touchdown. Ben couldn’t have thrown this ball better if he tried.

Ben found Claypool 4 times for 59 yards and a score. Claypool wasn’t the talk of the town after the game though. Diontae Johnson stole the spotlight as he breaks through for another monster performance. I can’t stress it enough, Ben has turned these young receivers into budding stars.
