Winner: Minkah Fitzpatrick

While this wasn’t Minkah Fitzpatrick’s best game as a Steelers safety, it certainly wasn’t his worst. While he did drop an obvious interception, he made quite a few quality plays in coverage and provided solid tackling. Honestly, the play that got him on this list was his breakup on what should have been a touchdown to Luke Wilson.

At the very end of the second half, Griffin lobbed a pass right into Wilson’s wide-open hands. He should have come down with it for the score, yet Fitzpatrick made the great move to knock the ball out of his hands. Given how close this game was, that knockdown proved to be critical in winning this game. It was a savvy move by a player who has established himself as one of the best safeties in the league.

For anyone saying he is at fault for allowing Marquise Brown to score is out of their mind, as he was in a one-on-one foot race against one of the fastest players in the league. Terrell Edmunds was much more at fault than anyone for missing the obvious tackle. Had he snagged that interception he would easily land on the winner’s list. That said, that forced incompletion right before half time was key in securing the win today.
