SS Terrell Edmunds

After two-and-a-half years, Terrell Edmunds is finally starting to live up to his billing as a former first-round draft choice. At about the midseason point, the former Virginia Tech safety really seemed to be stepping up his game, and he eventually broke his streak of 38 games without an interception – nabbing two against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11.

Edmunds isn’t only making more splash plays in 2020, he’s been immensely more consistent than in his first two years for the Steelers. Last season, Edmunds 514 passing yards and 4 touchdowns on 10.4 yards per target resulting in giving up a 131.6 passer rating, according to Pro Football Reference. This year has been the opposite story. Edmunds has not been nicked for giving up a single score and he has been downright impressive in coverage at times.

In order for the Steelers to have a shot against teams that are lethal through the air, Edmunds will need to continue this impressive run. If Pittsburgh ends up getting matched up against the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, Edmunds could have the difficult task of handling tight end Travis Kelce while trying to help out on Tyreek Hill. His play will be huge for the Steelers.
