Troy Polamalu

This might be the first “shocker” on this list as Troy Polamalu is just getting into the Hall of Fame. He just retired recently but that does not mean he shouldn’t forever be etched in the stone of the side of a hill in Pittsburgh.

This player was one of the best to ever play at his position in the NFL. His ability to show up at the biggest moments in games was something unique about him. He kept the definition of what it meant to be a Steelers player alive. Work hard, play hard, and go along with your business when it is all said and done. This quiet player would do all his talking through his actions once he stepped foot onto that grass at Heinz Field on gameday. Seeing his bronzed statue in Canton in the coming month would only be a preview of things to come with Polamalu making this list here.

Another reason besides his great ability on a football field is his trademark. His hair has always been with him and something people always gravitated towards before, during, and after his NFL career. His hair is synonymous with his identity. People cannot think about him without seeing his hair flying around NFL fields during his playing days and later in Head and Shoulders commercials. Everyone needs to see Polamalu and his hair carved into a hillside as it would truly be a magnificent view.
