3 things we learned from Steelers Week 1 win over Bills

Mike Tomlin puts Steelers players in positions to win
Down 10 points after the first half with the offense not doing much of anything, I think a lot of the credit for the turnaround has to go to head coach Mike Tomlin.
One constant under Tomlin has been superior play on the defensive side of the ball, and the game against the Bills was no different.
Truth be told, I have no idea what was said or not said at halftime that propelled Pittsburgh to victory on a strong second-half performance, but I suspect the coaches had a lot to do with whatever adjustments were made.
The flip side of adjustments being made is execution on the part of the players, and that’s exactly what transpired.
Look, I think it’s a boon for us that have continuity on the coaching staff, particularly at head coach. I realize it’s one game but this was a huge win on the road against a tough opponent.
Steelers earned an impressive win to open 2021 season
It’s great to get a win the first week of the season, it’s great to get a win on the road the first week of the season and the Steelers were able to accomplish both with the win against Buffalo.
The NFL season is inherently a long one, so I don’t want to overreact to this win, but it was an impressive one.
I think what we learned about Tomlin is that he has the buy-in from his players. There are plenty of teams out there that would have folded after not scoring a point in the first half, but Pittsburgh didn’t.
Steelers football was enough to earn a team victory, and that’s what fans have become accustomed to.
