Ben Roethlisberger’s performance vs the Bengals

One of the biggest reasons you can argue about the Steelers performance on Sunday against the Raiders was the failure to move the chains effectively. I personally believe fingers should be pointed at Ben Roethlisberger for this inconsistency.

If the Steelers are going to be a competitive football team, they need their Franchise QB to step up and start making more plays. Yes, you can definitely argue that he has struggled due to the offensive line’s play, unbalanced offense, and maybe some questionable play-calling from Matt Canada. But Roethlisberger just simply isn’t playing great football right now.

Roethlisberger has got to figure out how to move the chains or this season could take a turn for the worst. It’s not just him, this entire offense needs to execute their assignments to keep the defense off the field for as long as possible.

Najee Harris vs Bengals Defense

Najee Harris was drafted in the first round for one reason, to getting more balance on offense instead of allowing Roethlisberger to throw the ball 50 plus times a game.

Harris has all the potential in the world to become that factor the Steelers need, but he can’t do it with the offensive line not executing assignments. I expected big things from Harris last week and he didn’t fully perform to my expectations, but I truly believe this can be the week that we see a huge breakout performance from Harris in the run game and the passing game.
