Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Earlier in the season, most fans would think this would be a horrible trade candidate for the Steelers, but Jared Goff proved that he still can sling it and has the capability to still be a reliable quarterback in this league. The Detroit Lions might end up sticking with Goff, but if they plan to draft a quarterback and want to move on from him, the Steelers should at least see what they would be willing to trade for the veteran quarterback.

Goff finished the season with 19 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on the season. He had just over 3200 yards passing and played very well towards the later half of the season. The big problem with trading for Goff is his contract. If the Lions are willing to eat a lot of his salary, then I think it would be a good option for the Steelers.

Goff should definitely be the last option for the Steelers if they are looking to trade for a veteran quarterback because of his contract, but he should at least be looked at during the offseason. The Steelers should be looking everywhere to find a replacement for Ben Roethlisberger because Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins are not the answers to the future of this organization.
