Behind the quarterback position, the offensive line is the group with the most uncertainty for the Steelers, and thus they must use this offseason to address the group. The team appears to have one tackle and one guard locked in with Dan Moore Jr. and Kevin Dotson, and Kendrick Green will likely be back as the starting center. This leaves tackle and guard as the two positions the team needs to find help at in the starting lineup, as they should address one in the draft and one in free agency.

The one name that sticks out when it comes to a potential free-agent target for the Steelers at offensive tackle is Morgan Moses. While Terron Armstead is extremely appealing he will likely be out of the Steelers price range, and while Trent Brown is also very appealing, his injury concerns, make him a less likely target.

While Moses will be 31 next season, he has been very durable during his NFL career starting in 16 games every year after his rookie year, according to Pro Football Focus. Moses would slide in at right tackle and would allow Moore to settle in as the long-term left tackle. Adding Moses would obviously require the team to spend a little, but compared to the other options on the market, Moses should come a bit cheaper, while still providing a steady presence on the offensive line.

Moses would undoubtedly help shore up the offensive line, and if the team opts to sign him, then the guard position will likely be addressed in this year’s draft, potentially even in the first round if the team doesn’t see a quarterback that they deem worthy of selecting.
