Steelers should sign Bozeman

Bradley Bozeman is essentially the opposite of Allen and Green as a center prospect. Bozeman has prototypical size to be a star at the position, but he lacks the athleticism most teams look for in a modern center. Bozeman has been a consistent starter for the Ravens over the past three seasons though, and his play has steadily improved each season.

Bozeman excels in a run-heavy system where he can power his way through opposing defenders. He isn’t going to be an asset in space and his pass blocking is the weaker element of his game, but he can function as a starter for any line when not asked to do too much. He would bring back some physicality along the interior of this line that was lacking last season.

The lack of athleticism limits his potential as a truly elite center, but Bozeman can be an above-average starter for a team focused on some power running. Given his limitations, Bozeman could realistically see the most affordable deal of these four options as well. This means the Steelers can get an upgrade at center and have money left over to sign other needs. He wouldn’t be an elite player, but Bozeman would certainly be an upgrade to this offensive line.
