J.C Jackson follows Brian Flores to Pittsburgh

The New England Patriots plan to not franchise tag J.C Jackson and he will now hit the open market this offseason. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the cap space and money to sign him to a long-term deal. They are in desperate need to get a playmaking cornerback and Jackson is the perfect fit. He finished with 8 interceptions this past season. The Steelers could use a guy like that to help Minkah Fitzpatrick and TJ Watt on the defensive side of the ball.

The addition of Brian Flores as the linebacker coach could attract Jackson to come to Pittsburgh. They knew each other very well when Flores was the defensive coordinator with New England and he could convince him to follow his footsteps and head to Pittsburgh in 2022.

J.C Jackson is just 26 years of age which is very young for his position. If the Steelers sign him on a 5-year contract and secure that spot in the defense for years to come, that would be the perfect scenario for this franchise. Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin should be making a phone call to Jackson’s agent as soon as possible.
