Kendrick Green, Guard/Center

Kendrick Green enters his sophomore season with Pittsburgh after having a poor rookie debut. He rarely played the center position in college and that showed up with the Steelers. He struggled with snapping the football and his all-around play was poor.

He will need to show vast improvement in camp for him to retake his job back. He could always win a job as the other starting guard, but that doesn’t seem likely. His position will be determined based on how the pre-season battle shakes out.

Green, Mason Cole, and Kevin Dotson will fight it out for the starting guard and center spots on this offensive front. Things don’t seem to be in Green’s favor now to land either of those two roles. He will need to show growth, but he has been working out with Maurkice Pouncey so maybe he taught him a thing or two.

This player seems primed to lose his starting gig for now, but he could always win it back. The coaching staff seems to really like him, so maybe Dotson or Cole will be the odd-man-out. It will be interesting to see how Green is deployed on Sundays but having him as a depth piece that can play either position is a huge advantage.
