The Pittsburgh Steelers have prioritized high character and leadership, but here are the five most likable players on their roster this year.

The Steelers coaching staff has dealt with their fair share of unhinged characters in the past. Since dealing with Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, however, it seems that character has been a high priority of this team.

Fortunately, Pittsburgh has a few very strong leaders as well as high character personalities that make them some of the most likable players in the locker room. There will be many different opinions about this list, but here are the five most likable Pittsburgh Steelers on the 2022 roster:

5. Alex Highsmith

Alex Highsmith is a true underdog story, and he certainly doesn’t let his rise to success go to his head. The former college walk-on at Charlottle defied the odds to become a third-round NFL Draft choice and is now a starter for the Steelers.

Highsmith is a soft-spoken, high-character player with true family values. He recently hosted his second annual youth football camp for 6th to 8th graders in Wilmington North Carolina.

The Steelers young edge defender is as humble as they come, and you won’t catch him in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. Not only did Pittsburgh find a small-school gem in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they also found a standup character who embodies what it means to be a Steeler.
