The Steelers defense made the necessary adjustments to give us a chance to secure victory

Make no mistake, the defense was a bit shaky at the outset, but we settled down, made the necessary adjustments, whether they were schematic adjustments or personnel adjustments, and gave the offense a chance to win it late in the game.

Honestly, I would much rather us just dominate right out of the gate so we don’t have to rely on a  game-winning TD drive, but that seems to be the ‘M.O’. when we play the Ravens.  Nothing comes easy and it certainly did not unfold that way this time around.

As I stated at the beginning of our discussion, we outplayed the Ravens in almost every aspect of the game.  The defense stepped up when we needed them to step up. Minkah Fitzpatrick sealed the deal with a late INT and that was all she wrote, as it were.

What was a little discouraging was the fact that we gave up one hundred and twenty yards on the ground despite deploying a 4-3 look for a good portion of the game.  All in all, we played well, held the Ravens to thirteen points, and are still in the playoff conversation.

Let’s see what else we learned.
