The grades are in for the Steelers 2015 NFL draft and the picks are widely discussed. The 12 Undrafted Free Agents signed after the draft are worth some discussion too.

There is sort of a let-down after all the hype of the draft where fan and analysts alike try to divine the purpose behind the picks.

“Why this guy and not that guy?”

“Clearly, the Steelers focused on _________.” (Insert whatever you want.)

“I can’t believe they picked John X or Nate Y. What were they thinking?”

It goes on and on and we have a lot of fun with it, no doubt.

Usually when I look at the list of UFDAs and their positions, I see a smattering of all positions, often heavy on the offensive line.  Of this year’s twelve, 8 are offensive players.

Four of those eight are part of the offensive line.  Three are listed on the Steelers site as Guards and one is listed as a Center.  However, three of these four were Centers in college.  So, technically, the Steelers are looking at three centers.  Is this a mini-competition to back up Maurkice Pouncey?

This is pure speculation, but hey, that’s what the offseason is for, right?

Let’s quickly look at these four UFDAs.
