2. Brady and the Madden Jinx

The archrival of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots, may have sabotaged themselves for the 2017-2018 season.

You figure Tom Brady would have learned that the Madden Curse is nothing to mess with after fellow teammate Rob Gronkowski couldn’t finish last season, requiring season-ending back surgery after gracing the cover of Madden 16. Or maybe that is the exact reason Brady did it, to get his revenge on the game, even though he still won the Super Bowl.

If anyone is going to discredit the Madden Curse, it’s Tom Brady. The guy continues to put up ridiculous numbers every season and has shown no inclination of slowing down despite his advanced age (he turns 40 in August.) Despite not believing in superstitions, Brady couldn’t have set himself up any worse if there were such a thing, even going to far as to make a video of him breaking a mirror and going underneath an open ladder.

Father Time catches up to everybody and Brady is only human. His wife Gisele Bündchen just informed the media that he has had numerous concussions during his stint in the NFL, many of them undiagnosed, apparently. Could the curse be hitting the mirror-shattering, ladder-walking Brady already?
