Skills

Everyone is putting their skills on display today trying to make every rep count, with clear knowledge of how each one of those reps can make a difference. Because a lot of the starters were bystanders, it allowed those seeking to improve their chances on the team to shine a little more.

Offensively, having the skills to execute the plays within your position is crucial to the elevation of your game. How is the O-line blocking? What are their assignments? What routes are the tight ends and receivers running? What are the running back reads and what is the QB processing on every single play?

Defensively, you have to look at how the D-line is set to rush. What are the linebacker reads and the type of communication needed for every play? The position of the secondary and what calls are they making? Every player is required to bring their ultimate skill level on every play within the harmony of the team concept.
