Quadree Henderson is taking kicks and punts

People may have forgotten about the Pitt native who went undrafted. Nevertheless, Quadree Henderson is still a relevant player and one who can earn his place on the final roster if he proves worthy enough.

He isn’t making the team at wide receiver. This team has five guys guaranteed to make the team and then one fighting to keep his place on the final 53. Unfortunately, that leave Henderson as the odd man out.

That’s fine. Where the Pitt star excels is in the return game, and that’s something the Steelers want to take full advantage of. Removing Antonio Brown and a combination of other receivers from the punt return is something Pittsburgh has tried to do for years.

If Henderson can prove he’s a stable return man, he’ll gain traction on making the final roster. This all starts in the first preseason game.
