James Conner

This one is a gimme. Everyone in Pittsburgh is ecstatic about the performance of James Conner this offseason. The man showed up after a less than impressive rookie year and showed he’s here to get better.

That’s just what he did. The sophomore running back is leaner, quicker and ready to make a name for himself in the Steel City. He’s taken advantage of Le’Veon Bell’s absence all summer and has followed that potential up with a strong preseason.

Right now, he’s looking more and more like the future of running football in Pittsburgh. Maybe it’s too early to say, but no matter what 2019 has in store for him, 2018 is going to give him a chance. That’s much more than he had last year. As long as he continues to play like this, we should see a decent amount of James Conner in the regular season.
