James Conner – Stock: Up

James Conner got his first ever NFL start Sunday amidst the Le’Veon Bell holdout. He took full advantage of this opportunity and had himself a great game.

Conner racked up 135 yards on 31 attempts and two touchdowns averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He also helped out in the passing game both at pass protection and as a receiver with five receptions for 57 yards.

Conner did have the one fumble late in the game that led to a Cleveland score but overall he was the workhorse they needed in Bell’s absence. He will continue to be the lead back until Bell shows up, whenever that may be.
