Cam Heyward

This guy is seriously the most underrated defensive player in football. Because he doesn’t put up the sexy stats (even though he did in 2017), he gets overlooked by way too many in the national media.

Cam Heyward was a wrecking ball. He recorded two of the five Steelers sacks on the night and was the reason why on certain drives, the Panthers had to get away from the run game.

There were some drives where the Panthers ran the way they wanted to, and that’s going to happen with a duo of Newton and Christian McCaffrey. They’re too good to contain for an entire game.

A lot of the time when the Panthers wanted to run up the middle, Heyward was there to put an end to it.

Heyward was a force in the middle of the defense all night, which then only boosts the rest of the defense.
