Matthias Farley

Once a quality starter for the Colts, Matthias Farley fell off in 2018 due to an overabundance of talent at safety in Indianapolis. Now, he’ll enter the free agent market with hopes of reestablishing a starting role and Pittsburgh could be an option.

Farley won’t go for much money, is a reliable option all over the field and would work well with, without putting too much pressure to start over, Edmunds in year-one. The two can split time and both be impact players while Sean Davis remains the key safety on the roster.

It’s not a poor option. After Morgan Burnett didn’t work out, Edmunds was handed a role more significant than he or many others thought he would in year one. Taking that away from him will hurt his development, so bringing in someone he can work with instead of behind could be beneficial.
