The Steelers shock of the end of the year and into the offseason was the fallout with receiver Antonio Brown. They lost a key contributor and one of the best players in the league and saw a hole open up at the position.

JuJu Smith-Schuster is now the number one and newly signed Donte Moncrief looks to be expected to step into the number two role.

After these two, this leaves James Washington, Ryan Switzer, and Eli Rogers on the roster with experience. The Steelers need to add to the depth in the room and Miles Boykin is the perfect option.

Boykin had an unreal combine coming in at 6’4″ 22o pounds running a 4.42 with good agility drills and jumping through the roof. Boykin is a project receiver with plus NFL traits which will get him picked higher than tape may suggest he should go.

Boykin didn’t have crazy numbers at Notre Dame but his traits and athleticism are what scouts love about him. With the right coaching, he could replace Martavis Bryant as that big bodied, fast receiver to blow the top off the defense and let the others work underneath him.

The Steelers lost Brown and in turn lost a huge chunk of offensive production. Boykin can help the beginning of a new distribution of production and get the Steelers receiver room back on track.
