Steelers stock rising/falling after dress rehearsal win vs Titans
Mason Rudolph: Stock up
Rudolph came into the game having separated himself somewhat from Joshua Dobbs this preseason. He continued to stretch that separation further against Tennessee with another solid performance.
He ended his night 6-of-9 for 75 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a pick but that looked to be he and James Washington not being on the same page as Rudolph threw it wide for an out route and Washington sat down instead of breaking to the sideline.
Rudolph looked poised and stood tall in the pocket delivering accurate throws to his receivers. His biggest throw was a 41-yard dart that dropped into the arms of James Washington for the touchdown.
Rudolph’s ability to deliver accurate, strong throws consistently is what has helped him gain the separation he has for the number two spot. He has some mobility but he makes most of his plays with his arm.
Dobbs again had the same kind of game he has had the first two weeks. Dobbs can escape the pressure and dazzle with his quickness and speed but he struggles making the accurate throws from the pocket with any type of consistency.
