Who is the team to beat in the division?

It’s incredible how things can change so rapidly in the NFL. It was before this game that I thought the Steelers could get into contention for the division, and now I think they are out of the picture.

At this point, I see this as a two-horse race between the Browns and the Ravens. The Ravens have more experience, but the Browns have a lot of raw talent. It will be interesting to see if the Ravens can defend their AFC North title.

The Steelers will need to have an excellent run with Devlin Hodges to get back into this race. I am not going to bank on it at this point, though. The Steelers have had too little production on offense and too much bad luck.

Conclusion

This has been about as disappointing as a start the season as possible for the Steelers. They are 1-4 and down to their third or even fourth quarterback, depending on how you think about it. It is tough to see the Steelers making the playoffs at this point.

The best hope for the Steelers at this point is to see Devlin Hodges light it up. I like what I see from him, and he seems to make the best of a bad situation.

Hodges has proven that he deserves a shot because a lot of his playing time has been with the third-string. I think the Steelers should start him this week.
