First area of concern: Los Angeles Chargers pass-rushers

The Los Angeles Chargers have one of the best edge-rushing combinations in league with Melvin Ingram III, and Joey Bosa. Both have proven just how deadly of a tandem they can be for opposing offenses throughout the past couple of seasons. Which is why they are number one in area of concerns heading into week 6 of the NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may catch a break, however, with Ingram listed as questionable for Sunday. If Ingram is absent, this changes the game for Pittsburgh. Leaving the Steelers to turn their focus to Bosa alone.

Second area of concern:  Kennan Allen

During last season’s match up the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team could not cover Keenan Allen. Allen finished week 13 of the 2018 season with 10 catches for a total of 148 receiving yards plus a touchdown. Containing Allen should be the focal point for this Pittsburgh defense heading into week 6, and it starts with applying pressure to the quarterback.

As I have already stated, I expect the Steelers interior defensive linemen to have their hands all over the outcome of this game. T.J Watt and Bud Dupree should show up as game changers in this one as well: Making their presence known either in the passing game or running game. Without time in the pocket, Phillip Rivers should be forced into multiple mistakes.

Predicted outcome

The Pittsburgh Steelers should be on the come up after avenging their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last season. I anticipate that Pittsburgh will win with a score of 21-17 in week 6. With a win the Steelers would be heading into their bye week with a 2-4 record, followed by facing the tanking Miami Dolphins would she be an automatic win for the six-time Super Bowl champions. Now, let’s take a look at what my peers at Still Curtain have for their predicted outcomes.
