B.J. Hill

New York Giants

B.J. Hill is a player that might be just a little bit trickier to land. The former North Carolina State standout had his best college seasons as a sophomore that included 11 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks. Since then, however, he hasn’t exactly lit up the stat sheet.

As a former 2018 3rd round draft choice, Hill is in just the second season of his NFL career. However, the Giants haven’t deployed him much, and B.J. Hill is playing only 22 percent of snaps this season.

Still, the big defensive tackle holds value to the Steelers. He possesses terrific size at 6’3” and 311 pounds, and he has coveted length to play both inside and outside. Hill impressively collected 5.5 sacks as a rookie last year despite playing just 20 percent of his team’s total defensive snaps. However, he has yet to make a significant dent in the box score through the first 6 weeks of the 2019 season.

B.J. Hill is still a young player on a cheap contract, and the Steelers may have to give up slightly more than they wish to. But the Giants aren’t a very good team. They may be willing to execute a trade if there is interest on the part of the Steelers.
